Pourover

What you'll need:

  • Dripper - we recommend Hario V60
  • V60 paper filter
  • Scale
  • Grinder
  • Coffee
  • Water
  • Optional - gooseneck kettle

Brew Guide

  1. Assemble your dripper by placing it on top of your coffee cup.
  2. Fold the paper filter along crimped edge and insert into the dripper.
  3. Bring water to boil. 500 ml should do the trick.
  4. Pour about 50 ml of water into the filter and let it all drip. This will clean the filter as well as warm your dripper and coffee cup. It will also give your water little time to cool to appropriate temperature for this method of brewing.
  5. Using food scale weigh out about 30 grams of coffee.
  6. Grind your coffee to a medium-fine grind. Little coarser than AeroPress and bit finer than for drip coffee.
  7. Discard water from the mug and place the mug and dripper on the scale.
  8. Add coffee to the filter.
  9. Pour water in circles over grounds starting in the center. You'll need enough water to soak all the grounds. Wait 30 seconds.
  10. Continue pouring water into the dripper in a circular motion. It should take around 2 to 2.5 minutes for all the water to drip through and your scale should read 300 grams.
  11. If it took more than 3 minutes your coffee might be too fine. If less than 2 the coffee is too coarse.
  12. If necessary make adjustments and try again.
  13. Enjoy perfect cup of coffee.
